Abstract

Chiral waveguides have recently being become the robust tools to manipulate the transports of photons along the selected directions. By designing the suitable atom–photon chiral couplings we show that the ideal absorption (i.e., approaching the 100% absorption), unidirectional emission (i.e., along only one of the selected directions), and the routing (i.e., without any reflected loss) of single waveguide photon can be implemented conveniently. The dissipative influences on these chiral quantum functions demonstrated here are discussed.
