Abstract
We have read the perspective entitled “How-to-guide for medication reviews in older adults with cancer: A Young International Society of Geriatric Oncology and Nursing & Allied Health Group initiative” with great enthusiasm [1]. Authors pointed out that older adults with cancer are at increased risk of and should be assessed for polypharmacy and/or potentially inappropriate medication use (PIM). They recommended that when polypharmacy and/or PIM is encountered, preferably a multidisciplinary team should perform a medication review (MR) in order to avoid treatment related harms and ensure that the benefit of treatments outweigh the risks.
