Abstract

Endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) is a common endoscopic technique used to resect large colon polyps. A high overall recurrence rate of up to 30% has been reported in previous studies. To overcome this drawback, techniques like argon plasma coagulation (APC), snare tip cautery (STC), and hot biopsy avulsion have been utilized for residual polyp tissue removal. The objective of this study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of EMR with hot biopsy avulsion for visible residual neoplasia in large colon polyps at our tertiary care referral center.
