Abstract
Superficial laryngopharyngeal cancer (SLPC) can be detected during gastrointestinal endoscopic examination by the innovation of Narrow Band Imaging (NBI). However, it is difficult to detect SLPC during endoscopic examination because gastrointestinal physicians are unfamiliar with SLPC. To overcome these difficulties, we created an artificial intelligence (AI) system using still images to detect SLPC. Although a high-performance AI system based on still images could be created, it did not reflect the ability to detect SLPC in real time during endoscopic examination.
