Abstract

Colonoscopy is a widely performed procedure for endoscopic examination of large bowel. Glove is one of the physical barriers against the patient-to-endoscopist transmission of pathogens and vice versa. Intraoperative glove perforation is a well-known incident during surgical procedures. However, there are scarce data on glove perforation in colonoscopy. This study aims to determine the incidence and risk factors of glove perforation during colonoscopy.
