Abstract

IDDS utilization in the treatment of chronic pain and severe spasticity involves intrathecal delivery of minute volumes of drug. System reliability and accuracy are key factors in patient safety and therapy effectiveness. Published clinical accuracy for available IDDS is currently limited to 1 year1,2,3, whereas available systems have implant lives of 7 years or more. To address this gap, a planned 4-year study of clinical accuracy and product performance events, initiated in 2017 at 15 European (EU) sites, is in progress. Results presented here are from a 2-year analysis.
