Abstract

Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) is characterized by prolonged and greater than expected pain, typically following a traumatic injury. [1] CRPS is commonly diagnosed using the Budapest criteria; however, there is no universally accepted treatment regimen available to patients with the condition. [2] The treatment of CRPS requires a multicomponent approach, including patient education, behavioral modification, physical therapy, medical therapy, and potentially interventional procedures.
