Abstract

Complex spine arthrodesis can challenge the approach for spinal cord stimulation (SCS). Percutaneous SCS placement is limited by epidural fibrosis and bone grafts over the puncture sites (1) making traditional techniques prone to higher complication rates and suboptimal lead placement (2). Placing retrograde SCS paddle can overcome these technical issues and promote effective SCS therapy in select patients.
