Abstract

Sacroiliac joint (SIJ) pain has increased in incidence of lumbar fusion being performed. The pathophysiology is due to decrease motion in the lumbar spine with the increased mechanical load. The use of minimally invasive surgical (MIS) treatment options allow for treatment of pathology. The study aims to evaluate interventional surgical treatment of sacroiliac joint pain using a fluoroscopic guided percutaneous lateral-oblique screw technique.
