Abstract

Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) has proven to be an effective therapy for chronic pain. [1], [2] The EVOKE SCS system can measure and respond to activation of nerves by electrical stimulation in the dorsal column. [3] These measured responses (ECAPs) are used to adjust stimulation levels in real time in order to maintain consistent activation of the spinal cord. Here we present interim results for patients implanted to treat chronic neuropathic back and/or leg pain in 2 post-market prospective studies [NL7889, ISRCTN27710516].
