Abstract

The patient was a 60-year-old woman who had a stroke in 2005. She presented at the Culicchia Neurological Clinic in 2013 with right hemiparesis and global spasticity in her right upper and lower extremities. She had no visible spasms, took 30 mg of oral baclofen a day, and managed pain with acetaminophen as needed. In 2014, she was implanted with an intrathecal pump (SynchroMed® II, Medtronic) and started at a dose of 50.04 μg/day programmed as simple continuous, titrated to 54.98 μg/day a few days later.
