Abstract

In 1999, INASP began an ICT-related training programme for African university librarians using a ‘travelling’ methodology. This methodology and the development of the programme over the next six years and into the future are described and evaluated. African librarians are generally happy with this training approach. But whether it has assisted academic staff and student to better exploit the potential of the Internet has yet to be proved.
