Abstract

It has been argued that for people to make successful employment inroads, they will need not only the know-how but also the psychological make-up to function in a turbulent job market that changes constantly in both boundaries and requirements. This dynamic might not be easily addressed through traditional career guidance and counseling. ICT has significant capacity and myriad capabilities to assist in this realm. It can provide a paradigmatic approach that is thematic and stochastic as well as unbiased, which might not be possible with the traditional approach. Here, the authors discuss such an approach with respect to the growing ICT field in Nigeria.
