ICNRSD 2022 Preface

Abstract

We were honored to arrange the 2nd International Conference on Natural Resources and Sustainable Development (ICNRSD) on the last October 29th, 2022. The First International Conference on Natural Resources and Sustainable Development (ICNRSD) was held in 2018. Following up on the completion and success of the 1st conference in 2018, for the sake of the sustainability of its implementation, it is necessary to hold the 2nd International Conference. This event is hoped to bridge the communication and become a sharing platform for related researchers regarding natural resources management, regional development, and economic management and their linkages, as well as stakeholders, as an effort to synergize knowledge with human needs in life and create a better environment. The participants’ enthusiasm and experience of implementing the 1st conference are also one of the motivations to do better in this second conference. We arrange the 2nd ICNRSD in collaboration with The University of Batam, Politeknik Pariwisata Medan, and Universitas Malikussaleh.Unfortunately, due to the uncertain situation of the pandemic Covid 19, the committee preferred to arrange the 2nd ICNRSD 2022 virtually. We use the zoom cloud meeting with the capacity of a thousand participants. Thankfully, the interests and enthusiasm remained the same. The conference location was the Postgraduate Studies of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia. Two of the keynote speakers committed to attending the conference on-site. All the committees were also present at the location of the conference. Approximately 425 participants and 107 presenters joined this conference. Most of the presenters from the Universitas Sumatera Utara also joined the conference directly. We hope the situation will return to normal so that the next ICNRSD conference will attract more participants and we can greet each other directly.List of The Editors, Committees are available in this Pdf.
