Abstract

In September 2015 the UN decided about the »Agenda 2030«, a really revolutionary world-future-contract obliging all countries to overcome deficits in respect of freedom and sustainability. This might be the end of the European self-description as being a superior model for other countries of this world, the basis of racist mentalities, which still exist. The paper reflects about the responsibilities, chances and difficulties to construct a partnership between German teacher-education institutions and African Countries on eye-level. It tells about the experience with a project that brought about 100 teacher-students and 20 lecturers from a German University to West-Africa, where they absolved an internship in African schools in 2010–2015. In the conclusiontit demands a professional cultural-sensitive preparation and company of the students and insists on the essential role of history education to deconstruct colonial mentalities.
