Abstract

Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks due to spinal procedures are commonly reported and can result in a condition known as intracranial hypotension. In rare cases, this can lead to a life-threatening situation if not properly diagnosed and treated. This case study discusses a rapidly decompensating patient that was found to have a CSF leak after an epidural placement for childbirth and made a full recovery after treatment with an epidural blood patch.
