Abstract

Background: This study aims to investigate the incidence and possible causes of iatrogenic femoral artery pseudoaneurysm and to present our clinical experiences and novel therapeutic methods in the light of literature data. Methods: Between January 2010 and December 2011, 30 patients (15 males, 15 females; mean age 62.8 years; range 32 to 86 years) who operated for femoral artery pseudoaneurysm in Adana Numune Training and Research Hospital, Seyhan Application Center were retrospectively analyzed. Femoral artery pseudoaneurysm developed after coronary angiography in all patients. Preoperative Doppler ultrasonography was performed for all patients who developed pseudoaneurysm.
