He had received fularabine, retoximabe and cyclosporine theraphy was induced and 6 cures could be admitted. Due to low platelet counts biopsy could be performed at the 3rd month. The biopsy revealed surface mucosal ulceration and a submucosal mass of spindle cells and vascular structures filled with blood cells. There was cellular atypia and few atypical mitosis. HHV8, CD31, CD38, D2-40 were positive and ki-67 index was 29%. Final diagnosis was angiomatous type Kaposi sarcoma (KS). The patient was HIV negative. KS of the oral cavity is most frequent in HIV positive patients but, however exceedingly rara, this diagnosis should be kept in mind in patients in cases receiving chemoteraphy for lymphoma.
