Abstract
Cloud computing is the current technology used for sharing and accessing resources using web services or internet. It provides a scalable and cost effective environment. Large number of servers in the datacentres leads to huge consumption of power in the cloud computing scenario. Energy-related costs have become one of the major economic factors in IT datacentres, and companies and the research community are currently working on new efficient power aware resource management strategies. Optimization of power consumption is a key challenge for effectively operating a datacentre.
