Abstract
With the sudden and unexpected death of Ian Kelly from intestinal cancer, Glasgow and Scotland has lost its most outstanding shoulder surgeon. In over twenty years as a Consultant he had built up a national and international reputation in the specialist field of shoulder surgery, while retaining a broader interest in orthopaedic surgery, research, teaching and surgical training.
