Abstract

Although early childhood screening for development (physical, cognitive, social/emotional), autism, maternal depression, and social determinants of health (eg, food insecurity, substance use) is recommended, many pediatric practices have yet to fully implement these screenings and establish consistent processes for referral and follow-up on positive screening results.
