Abstract

The study of a chassean necropolis at Najac (Hérault) completes the data on chassean mortuary practices. As at Dela-Laïga, and on other comparable sites, it is possible to find several individuals in a same grave. The revision of chassean mortuary practices in France shows their diversity. Recent studies show the relations between Catalonia and western Languedoc. The discovery at Najac of two "swords", really comparable with the dagger of Labeil (Lauroux) permits to enlarge the classic chassean contact zone between western Languedoc and the Grands Causses.
