Legislative Budget Offices serve as an important source of nonpartisan, economically rigorous analysis in the political realm. This paper assesses the implications of the fiscal projections produced by the Congressional Budget Office at the beginning of the Trump era (“Long-term Budget Outlook, 2017-27”) , to highlight an impartial approach to measuring the pressing challenges faced by the Trump administration.
