Abstract
Abstract Date Presented 04/04/19 This session presents findings from an interpretive descriptive study exploring OTs’ perspectives of patient education in outpatient physical rehabilitation. The recognition of “I don’t have a magic wand” drove the purpose and process of patient education and encouraged alignment of practice with the profession's agentic and client-centered philosophy. Discussion of findings will facilitate attendees’ critical reflection on their own views of patient education.
