Abstract

Recommendations regarding uterine septum repair differ among national governing organizations. The discordance seen in recommendations stems largely from the reliance on limited studies with high heterogeneity with respect to the imaging involved in preoperative diagnosis, the classification system used for diagnosis, treatment techniques, and time of patient follow-up to examine long term pregnancy outcomes. The objective of this study was to evaluate women with a diagnosis of uterine septum based on Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and diagnostic criterion according to the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) guidelines and determine if the size of a septate uterus modulates the pregnancy outcomes of live birth and miscarriage before and after hysteroscopic repair.
