Abstract

Objective: Retained products of conception (RPOC) defined as persistent trophoblastic tissue within the uterine cavity is an uncommon condition that should be considered in the presence of abnormal uterine bleeding after an abortion, vaginal delivery or cesarean section. The traditional approach for the treatment of RPOC with dilatation and curettage (D&C) is currently being displaced by hysteroscopic management.
