Abstract

A 34-year-old Pakistani woman presented to the hospital for secondary infertility for 2 years and secondary amenorrhea for 4 months. She had a history of spontaneous miscarriage, followed by uterine curettage 3 years before. Pelvic ultrasound revealed a well-defined and tubular echogenic area with posterior acoustic shadowing within the endometrial cavity as for an intrauterine device (IUD) or a foreign body (Fig. 1). The uterine myometrium, the cervix, and the rest of pelvic structures were unremarkable.
