Abstract

A 13-year-old virgin girl had aggressive cyclic dysmenorrhea for 4 months. Through magnetic resonance imaging the condition was diagnosed as Herlyn-Werner-Wunderlich syndrome: uterus didelphys, double cervix, obstructed right hemivagina with anterior vaginal wall cyst, and unilateral renal agenesis (Fig. 1). Diagnostic hysteroscopy indicated a flat hemivaginal septum, left cervix, and uterine cavity but no right cervix or other associated channel. Hysteroscopic incision of the bulging oblique vaginal septum was performed, and it revealed 2 small openings in the right vaginal wall.
