Abstract

The hysteresis current control technique for a brushless DC motor (BLDCM) connected to a Three-level T type Inverter is presented in this paper. The use of a three-level T type inverter improves the quality of output voltages and currents, as well as the hysteresis current control technique. THD in stator current is lower in three-level T type inverter fed BLDC motor drives than in two-level T type inverter fed BLDC motor drives. Since three-level T-type inverter fed BLDC motor drives have lower THD in stator current than traditional two-level inverter fed BLDC motor drives, this paper uses a three-level T-type inverter fed BLDC motor with hysteresis current power. The ripple in the motor torque is diminished significantly by this approach compared to the conventional two-level inverter, according to simulation results. Matlab was used to simulate the two-level and three-level motor drives.
