Abstract
After a review of ancient Greek mechanics, features of Artistotle’s mechanics are expressed as three hypothetical laws of motion. We apply the equations of motion to standard problems in mechanics with the purpose of modeling misconceptions in mechanics. The mathematics and concepts are simpler than Newtonian dynamics. This new fictitious world exhibits some interesting but strange facts that make it much different from the world in which we live.
