Abstract
1. Sexual differences in the content of MA in the PMN, PLN, and AN in the early ontogenesis of rats have been found for the first time on the 7th day after birth, using histochemical methods. The sexual differences acquire a distinct character by the 60th day of life. 2. The intensity of the fluorescence of MA in the investigated hypothalamic nuclei of neonatally castrated male rats is maintained constantly reduced all the way to the 60th day of age. 3. The increase in the intensity of the fluorescence of MA in the PMN, PLN, and AN is a direct reaction to the neonatal virilization of female rats.
