Abstract

Base on pretreatment clinical data of 107 patients, we retrospectively characterized hypopituitarism adult men harboring prolactionomas. The incidence of growth hormone deficiency and hypogonadism is the most common pattern. As to adult males harboring macroprolactinomas (>1 cm), maximal adenoma diameter and higher prolactin level are no more the primary factor causing hypopituitarism, but affecting the degree of hormone insufficiency.
