Abstract
Klinefelter syndrome (KS) is one of the on-label indications for testosterone therapy. The prevalence of testosterone deficiency in men with KS is estimated to be 65-85%. Klinefelter syndrome is underdiagnosed in affected men, as men don’t often seek care and clinical presentation is highly variable. However, KS is associated with several comorbidities. Therefore, we hypothesized that men with KS are undertreated for testosterone deficiency. We used a national database to report the rates of prescription of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) in men with KS.
