Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) stated that until July 2020, the estimated number of new Covid-19 cases globally was 12.9 million and deaths due to Covid-19 were 570 thousand people. Pregnant women are a group that is vulnerable to being infected with the COVID 19 virus. The purpose of this community service activity is to apply hypnobirthing to classes for pregnant women to reduce anxiety in dealing with the covid 19 pandemics in Bocor Village. The materials and methods used are hypnobirthing for 30 minutes in a class of pregnant women 3 times in 3 weeks. Anxiety was assessed using the depression anxiety stress scales (DASS 42) instrument at the beginning and end of the meeting. The results showed that before hypnobirthing there were 8 pregnant women (26.7%) who experienced anxiety in the severe category, 13 pregnant women (43.3%) in the moderate category, and the remaining 9 pregnant women in the mild category. After hypnobirthing was carried out 3 times, there was a decrease in the level of anxiety experienced by pregnant women, namely there were only 6 pregnant women (20%) in the moderate category, 15 pregnant women (50%) in the mild category, and the remaining 9 pregnant women (30%) in the moderate category. normal category. This community service activity concludes that hypnobirthing in the class of pregnant women is considered effective for reducing anxiety facing the covid 19 pandemics.
