Abstract

Background and Aims: Hypertriglyceridemia is an independent risk factor for most coronary events after controlling LDL-C and HDL-C. To establish the prevalence of hypertriglyceridemia (TG> 1.7mmol / l) among children ages 6-19 and the presence of risk factors significant for the onset of atherosclerosis in those children and children with desirable TG values (<1.7mmol / l).
