Abstract

A series of new 3-aryl-5-nitromethyl-1,2,4-oxadiazoles and their alkyl substituted derivatives has been synthesized and tested on cats. It is established that the synthesized compounds exhibit a pronounced hypertensive effect dependent on the nature of substituents in the benzene ring.
