Abstract

An attempt is made to show that the results of Stollery et al. (1971) can be obtained in closed form for the pressure and shock wave shape by integrating the equations analytically, as described by the author (1972). Further, it is indicated that the estimates of the method near the leading edge can be improved by incorporating modifications suggested by Kemp (1969) to account for the effect of gamma (ratio of specific heats).
