Abstract

The High-Speed Vehicle Design Group (HSVDG) of the Aeronautical Research Center (ARC) at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) has an active program in the area of hypersonics. The hypersonics program includes undergraduate courses which focus on hypersonic technologies and their application to the design of hypersonic vehicles, individual and group research projects conducted through undergraduate research projects, and major research efforts conducted in support of U. S. Air Force programs. In executing these efforts, the HSVDG has worked closely with the Aeromechanics Division of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), with the Armament Directorate of the AFRL, with the Military Spaceplane Office at Phillips Laboratory, and with the HyTech Program Office at Wright-Patterson AFB.
