Abstract

Background: Hyperosmolar hyperglycemic state (HHS) is one of two serious metabolic derangements that occur in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM). Hyperosmolar hyperglycemic state can lead to hyper viscosity which can be considered as a cause for cerebral vascular accident. We present a case of stroke mimic presenting rst time with hyperglycemia and hyperosmolarity.
