Abstract

The hyperfine structure (hfs) of eight odd-parity levels of 139LaI has been studied by high-resolution Doppler-limited laser optogalvanic spectroscopy. The magnetic-dipole hfs constants A are obtained by least-squares fits. The A values of five of these levels are reported for the first time to our knowledge. One A value of the three previously reported levels is corrected, and the other two are also given for comparison where the agreements are good.
