Hyperfine structure in phosphaethene (CH 2=PH)

Abstract

Analysis of the Doppler-limited microwave spectrum of phosphaethene has yielded the following values for the 31P spin-rotation constants: C aa = −0.3018(19) MHz, C bb = −0.0501(8) MHz, C cc = −0.0203(8) MHz. These values are com with constants calculated using the coupled Hartree-Fock ab initio molecular orbital method. Limits have been set on the 13C spin-rotation constants in 13C-phosphaethene.
