Abstract
Mössbauer spectra of different amounts of Cr and In substituted Mn—Zn ferrites have been taken to analyse the site occupancy of Cr and In ions. The analysis indicated that Cr ions occupy only octahedral sites whereas indium ions occupy both tetrahedral and octahedral sites throughout the whole range of concentrations studied. The observed variations in the hyperfine fields, isomer shift and linewidths with composition are discussed.
