Abstract
During the last two decades, hyperbranched polymers have become the focus of interdisciplinary research, and received considerable attention due to their unique chemical and physical properties as well as their potential applications. As an important class of hyperbranched polymers, aromatic hyperbranched polyesters have attracted increased interest and are intensively studied because of their excellent thermal stability, chemical resistance, and mechanical properties. This article reviews the developments in synthesis, modifications, and applications of aromatic hyperbranched polyesters.
