Abstract

In this study, the gold precursors were rapidly reduced by hydroxy compound and micron-sized flaky gold powder was obtained under hydrothermal conditions. Isopropyl alcohol was selected as solvent and reducing agent after investigating the effect of reducing agent on the morphology of the gold powder. The influence of reaction concentration and temperature on the particle size and morphology of gold powder were researched. By controlling the reaction concentration and temperature, the prepared gold particles have regular flaky structure with the diameter of about 5 μm and the sintered gold conductor paste shows excellent conductivity and sintering density.
