Abstract

A semiconductor material like MoS2 has suitable electrocatalytic property, for application in solar cells’ structure. In this paper, MoS2 was synthesized by hydrothermal method and the results of XRD, EDX and Raman spectroscopies confirmed the success of the syntheses. FESEM and HRTEM micrographs as well as antibacterial activities of the samples on Gram positive and Gram negative. Also electrical and photocatalytic characterizations in different concentration of methylene blue under visible light have been investigated. The obtained results confirmed the photocatalyst and antibacterial properties of porous MoS2 that appear to have been underappreciated in the literature.
