Abstract

A new phosphate K 2 (VO) 2 P 3 O 9 (OH) 3 •1.125H 2 O has been synthesized hydrothermally in a sealed quartz glass tube under autogeneous pressure by slowly cooling from 450 o C a mixture of K 4 V 2 O 7 , V 2 O 3 , and 7.25 M H 3 PO 4 and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and thermogravimetric analysis.
