Abstract
A novel organic–inorganic hybrid vanadium arsenate [H 3V 3O 26(AsO 4) 4(phen) 8(H 2O) 2] · 2H 2O 1 (phen=phenanthroline) was synthesized by the hydrothermal reaction of V 2O 5, VOSO 4, Na 2HAsO 4 · 7H 2O, phen and water. Its structure was determined by elemental analyses, XPS spectra, EPR spectrum, TG analysis, IR spectrum and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
