Abstract
We report hydrostatic and uniaxial pressure dependence of Tc and HTT to LTO transition temperature (Td) for La 1.85 Sr 0.15 CuO 4 superconducting crystals. It was found that the Tc increases and Td decreases with pressure along a-axis and vice versa along c-axis. The Tc does not show any change for pressure along (110) axis. The Tc increases (dTc/dP=+1.54 K/GPa ) and Td decreases (dTd/dP=-44 K/GPa ) under hydrostatic pressure. These anisotropic effects are discussed based on the variations in the amplitude of the tilt angle of oxygen octahedra, which would affect the pinning of fluctuating stripe order.
