Abstract
The selective hydrogenation of cinnamaldehyde to cinnamyl alcohol has remained a ponding challenge due to competitive hydrogenation reactions between CC and CO groups. In this work, a hydrophobic and porous Fe and 3,3′-(pyridine-3,5-diyl)-dibenzoic acid coordination framework structure (Fe-Pdb(CFs)) was employed to support Pt-Fe nanoparticles and synthesize a high-performance Pt-Fe/Fe-Pdb(CFs) heterogeneous catalyst. The reactivity activity could be greatly improved by introducing electrophilic sites and enhancing the enrichment effect of Fe-Pdb(CFs) material. Thus, the optimal cinnamaldehyde conversion reached approximately 88.9%, with a better selectivity of 85.8% towards cinnamyl alcohol at 60°C.
