Abstract

Abstract An analysis is carried out to study magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow and heat transfer of two immiscible fluids in an inclined channel. The channel is filled with couple stress fluid in one region and a viscous fluid in the other region. The viscous fluid is assumed to be electrically conducting. The governing equations are modelled using the fully developed flow conditions. A closed form solutions of velocity and the temperature profiles are obtained by using perturbation method. The physical interpretation of the emerging parameters of interest on the velocity and temperature distributions are shown through graphs and discussed in detail.
